Dr. Thompson is a highly sought-after speaker, moderator, DEI consultant, and trainer.  He is known for his adept abilitly to develop strategies and trainings geared at improving social systems.  Additionally, Dr. Thompson has shared his research on the dearth of black male teachers within the American educational systems on a number of platforms.  He is a renowned African American Studies professor, researcher, co-editor and author- having published a textbook that is currently being used at the University of Houston and other Higher Education Systems. He has also written journal articles and book chapters on a plethora of educational and African American Studies topics. He is currently working on a line of publications focusing on how to incorporate DEI tenets into major workforce sectors.
